Yes, it will be beneficial to obtain a copy of the RST Workbook, but Wayne will provide all training required.
What do I need to bring?
Food, drinks, hat and enclosed footwear for practicals. We provide all writing materials and resources for the theory. Don’t forget to bring your keenness to learn!

The theory will still continue and light rain will not affect the practical as Wayne has quality wet weather jackets. However, in the event of storms/lightning, the practical will be rescheduled to suit.

Can I do the theory and practical assessments without training?
No, in the interest of boating safety, we do not provide an assessment only option. Be wary of cheap courses offering this, as you will be required to pay again if unsuccessful. Our courses are a one off payment with multiple assessment opportunities.
Are the theory questions hard?
There are difficult questions in tests if you have no background knowledge. We ensure you are fully prepared before sitting the test. Refer to our Practice Questions page for more details
Do I have to have any previous practical boating experience?
No, we provide all the practical training, prior to assessment, to ensure you meet the required standard.
Can I use my own boat?
No, not for the Skippers Ticket Course, but it can be used for any private course afterwards. The setup and special features on our training vessel/trailer form part of the whole course training package.
