Boat Licence Transfers – Interstate, Overseas and Commercial

Do you need to transfer your interstate, overseas or commercial boat licence?

Sea Soaring Marine is authorised to transfer your current interstate, overseas or commercial boat licence to a Western Australia (WA) Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST). All applications are processed within 48 hours of receiving the required documentation. Review the Department of Transport link to determine if you are eligible for full or partial exemption from the RST assessment.

Documentation required:

  • Copy of the current boat license/certificate to be transferred
  • Proof of identity ( Aust Motor Driver’s License ( MDL ) or Aust passport. For other types – refer to page 9 of the RST Workbook for primary and secondary proof of identity documents required
