MARINE RADIO COURSE – KUNUNURRA – AUGUST 6
Have you always wanted to know how to use your marine radio properly? Did you know that all VHF radio operators are required to hold an operator’s license?
Wayne is a registered Invigilator with the Australian Maritime College, Tasmania and uses radios extensively in both his work and leisure pursuits.
Wayne has the teaching background and experience to make a radio course interesting and beneficial for all recreational and commercial boat owners. He will provide you with the practical skills and background knowledge to use your radio with confidence and keep you and your crew safer on the water.
During the course you will use VHF radios, practice a Log On and be part of a Mayday scenario. You may choose to sit the Short Range Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency ( SROCP-VHF only ) or the Long Range Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency ( LROCP-VHF/MF/HF commercial qualification ) exam.
Note: the LROCP is an international license satisfying commercial qualifications for Coxswain and Master Class V.
Course Requirement
The minimum age to sit for the SROCP or LROCP Marine Radio license is 16 years.
Once you have booked in your course, Wayne will email his customised marine radio summary notes for pre reading. These provide an introduction to the course content and are also a very useful resource once the course is finished.
You will need:
