Sea Soaring Marine Radio Course

Have you always wanted to know how to use your marine radio properly? Did you know that all VHF radio operators are required to hold an operator’s license?

Wayne is a registered Invigilator with the Australian Maritime College, Tasmania and uses radios extensively in both his work and leisure pursuits.

Wayne has the teaching background and experience to make a radio course interesting and beneficial for all recreational and commercial boat owners. He will provide you with the practical skills and background knowledge to use your radio with confidence and keep you and your crew safer on the water.

During the course you will use VHF radios, practice a Log On and be part of a Mayday scenario. You will sit the Short Range Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency ( SROCP-VHF ) exam which is an international licence and a legal requirement to operate a VHF radio in Australia.

$390 course cost includes GST, VHF course summary notes, all training, exam fee and VHF licence.

    I can’t recommend the Skippers Ticket Training course at Sea Soaring Marine highly enough. Wayne is an excellent instructor with a wealth of experience in sea rescue and recreational boating.
